You are 1% shorter in the evening than in the morning

It is true. People is shorter before going to bed and taller in the morning. This happens because our body is exposed to different situations during the day. During the day, our activities compress the cartilage in our knees and other parts begin to compress gradually while we do perform our routine actions. On the other hand, when we are sleeping, the body is rested and any force press it, so those cartilage comes back to their original form gradually. This phenomenon can be possible because those joints are composed largely of water, so they change their shape easily .

Although it is true, the difference is not significant. The average height of a person changes, on average, 15 mm over the course of the day. That is, only 1% of our height. However, it is amazing how gravity can affect our body everyday.
