Chasing
Pokemon, a Baby Step Toward Virtual Reality
"In
a few years, Silicon Valley assures us, we will have virtual reality,
an all-encompassing escape into fantasy and illusion," says
David Streitfeld on the New York Times. Pokemon Go is one of the next
big thing which combine our real lives and an unreal world by using
virtual reality via smart phones. As you know, even though you walk
slowly, moving with operating your smart phone is so dangerous
because you don't concentrate and see anything around you. However,
this game might give us new dimensions in our lives.
For
example, there were first big Pokemon Go event at the Dolores Park in
San Francisco and over 9000 people gathered. He also attended it and
then found a famous statue and poem in the park near his office. This
app persuades you to go outside and takes you to new places where you
haven’t been before. Moreover, you can make friends who also play
Pokemon Go because you already have the same topic to talk together.
There are no concerns between different generations even if you think
you are old. It’s an advantage of this app and a different point of
view we didn’t have when we played old game.
As
the result, it’s just a little step toward virtual reality, but all
of us are looking forward to seeing next phase, progress of virtual
reality world.
