Pokemon Go: A New World

Pokemon Go has changed the virtual games' industry. According to Tam (2016) and Wingfield and Isaac (2016), Pokemon Go is completely different front the traditional games since it prompts people to move to different parts of the city instead of just staying sitting down on their home. Pokemon Go uses augmented reality and digital maps, which allow players to see creatures in the real world through their smartphones' cameras, for then to catch them using virtual Poke-balls (Wingfield & Isaac, 2016).

This revolutionary game is changing the world, opening a huge door to explore augmented reality in different fields. Wingfield and Isaac (2016) claims that this type of technology is a very supporting tool for architects in order to visualize their building before to start constructing them. Pokemon Go has also helped many restaurants and stores to attract people due to the fact that they have been "luckily" assigned as Pokemon Gym, which means that they will have many Pokemon players around their location throughout the day. In this sense, "a bar in Harrisonburg, Va., was offering a 10-percent discount to Pokemon players on a specific team," explains Wingfield and Isaac in their article published in The New York Times.

However, Pokemon Go has also brought some negative effects in society. According to Wingfield and Isaac (2016), it has increased crime and the amount of people going into private properties. For this reason, "local law enforcement, health groups, and city agencies have issued tips on how to safely play Pokemon Go," explains Tam (2016).

Wingfield and Isaac also mentions that Pokemon Company worked in cooperation with Niatic to create the games using the Google's Digital Mapping Services. They also says that this game will provide good economic incomes to the company. Although the game is free, it offers players some items for sell that support them to improve their level of experience quickly. They also look for sponsors - stores or restaurants - which want to become Pokemon Gyms to attack customers (2016).

The fiber for Pokemon Go is increasing everyday and everywhere. This awesome game has attracted different age and culture people. It is also a new step into new technology. Many people are already playing it, so what you are waiting for. Enjoy the new world technology with Pokemon Go.
