Many people think that
effective leaders including powerful and influence leaders must “practice what
they preach.” Yes, in my opinion, no matter who you are, great people or just a
normal person, you have to practice what you preach. Once you say something,
you have to take the responsibility of what you said. Therefore, the effective
leaders must be careful for any words and sentences they say. They know
themselves are influence to the world, so they have to practice what they
preach. If they make some mistakes, they would be thought about they are not
important any more, or something worse.
Nelson Mandela, the first President of South Africa, was a South African
anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist. He was also the
first elected in a fully representative democratic election. Without a doubt,
he was the greatest person in South Africa and described as the "Father of
the Nation". In his life, he delivered some speeches for many times, I
believe that before he gave speeches, he must prepare several times for every
speech. He wanted to end the apartheid, so his speech must be pretty powerful.
Therefore, people believe that effective leaders must “practice what they
preach”, and so do I.
