MFA#2 TASK6 BY ZACK

Beyond all question, Nelson Mandela, the president of South Africa, is absolutely the most qualified leader who "practice what he preach." Mandela served 27 years in prison on Robben Island. Amid international pressure and growing fear of a racial civil war, Mandela was released by President F. W. de Klerk in 1990. Mandela fought for the rights of black people and negotiated with F. W. de Klerk an end to apartheid. Finally, Mandela became the president  of the African National Congress (ANC) party from 1991 to 1997.
Not only had Mandela positively started all kinds of movements against racism and segregation, but also had never gave up what he preached even when he was in prison. There are lots of stories about Mandela united his supporters to protest against the prison guards in non-violent ways. That was the other accomplishment Mandela has achieved, which is to fight for people's rights in a peaceful way. As a matter of fact, what Mandela did is just like Martin Luther King Jr did but more effective. Unlike King, Mandela successfully made the revolution, and has totally changed the aspect of South Africa.
