Dear Elizabeth,

I have to admit it if I were you I would be totally upset about what happened that day. I feel so sorry that nobody stopped to untie you after a long time. However, you should understand that today we live in a country where the people usually do not trust each other easily. This is because of the fear that the media impose through the news. For example, have you seen all of the cases of people who were cheated on the highway by a stranger who was supposed to need help? Those harmless people who stopped to give a hand were injured and their innocence got betrayed.  You would probably be thinking  how can a woman hurt someone? But  because of the distrust of the people they do not want to get involved despite  the fact that you seemed helpless. When people  witness danger, the first thing that comes to their mind is evaluating the type of risk. In addition, they analyze if their own integrity would get violated or not. Before all of this happens, they make a decision. In regard to the people who didn’t help you, perhaps for them, it was difficult to decide if your situation was a real emergency or it was just a trap. Hopefully, you will never be in this situation again in your life.

It has been  a pleasure to read your message, Elizabeth.
Kind regards, Abby.
